Jessica joined Reisler Franklin LLP as a summer student in 2013 and completed her Articles with the firm in 2014-2015. She joined the firm as an Associate upon her call to the Ontario Bar in 2015. Her practice includes all aspects of civil litigation including Motor vehicle tort liability and Statutory Accident Benefits, Commercial liability, property and casualty liability, Commercial host liability, Property insurance claims (premises liability, arson etc) and subrogation, Accident and Sickness and Disability claims, Municipal liability, Products liability and management side employment law.
Jessica received her Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree with distinction from the University of Toronto in 2009 and her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in 2014. She also holds a Certificate in Public International Law from the Bader International Student Centre. During law school, Jessica was enthusiastic about competitive Mooting and represented Queen’s Law as an oralist at the Hicks Morley Labour Arbitration Competition, the Niagara International Law Moot and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Moot. She also volunteered with the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic and served as the president of her graduating class. In 2016, Jessica decided to continue her education and enrolled in the Baking Arts Certificate Program at the George Brown College School of Culinary Arts.
Jessica is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Defense Lawyers and Young Women and Law.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys travelling, skiing, playing tennis, socializing over pints of cold beer, cooking and most of all, eating.
